Wimp Sanderson is a former college basketball coach who is best known for his time as the head coach of the University of Alabama Men's basketball team. Sanderson, whose real first name is Cleveland, coached the Crimson Tide from 1981 to 1992.
During his tenure at Alabama, Sanderson compiled a record of 267-119 and led the team to five NCAA Tournament appearances. He was named the SEC Coach of the Year in 1987 and the National Coach of the Year in 1987 and 1988.
